Is it rude if I don’t invite my husband to my friend’s wedding?

My friend is getting married soon, and letters have been sent out to everyone. I want to go alone to the wedding and not bring my husband with me. It’s been a longtime friend of mine, we’ve been friends for about 19 years now. But I don’t want him there because he’s a smoker and he will most likely be smoking at the wedding. I don’t want to do anything that would make my friend uncomfortable at her wedding. I’m planning to go alone and leave early. My husband doesn’t care about weddings because he doesn’t know my friend. He’ll be home with our 3 year old daughter who’s not invited to the wedding. If my friend sees that most people brought their husbands and I’m there alone, will she be offended?
