Everyone knows the story of Romeo and Juliet. But what if upon seeing each other, they realized they were the spitting image of their parents, who ruined their family. How would that change the story?

Romeo and Juliet meet for the first time at a ball, the first words out of their mouths was, “It’s you.” After a little talking and a charming dance Romeo becomes infatuated with Juliet. So much so, he ditches his friends and sneaks into the castle, hiding in the garden and looking at Juliet’s window, wondering when she will return. <br><br>Obviously, one day she returns, and Juliet is also smitten with Romeo, but a little more level headed. What she predicts Romeo doesn’t, upon seeing him the next day, the castle guards will find Romeo and kill him. Not knowing this, the next day Romeo sneaks into the garden once again, finally, he sees her. She predicts Romeo’s death in front of him, he blinks and finds himself back in the forest, he slams his fist into a tree, he had just caught a glimpse of Juliet. He doesn’t see her again and has to spend the rest of his days knowing that if he hadn’t left for just a day he would be with her. <br><br>Juliet becomes a nun in her days, and Romeo courts a lady, but he never stops loving Juliet, and even when he finds happiness, she is always on his mind.<br><br><br>College Version: <br><br>Maybe Romeo and Juliet decided to see each other again, the two of them met and promised to marry and never tell anyone about their meetings. By the time their families forced them into an arranged marriage, it was too late. One screaming match later, and they ran away together. Three years later, they go back to Verona and tell their families they are married but they will each tell a different story. Juliet’s parents will think their daughter is blessed to have a loving husband and children in good health, and Romeo’s family will think their son is forced to marry a lady, but he is used to it by now. <br><br>A couple years later their families decided to have dinner and meet each other. As they look at each other, it dawns on them, they didn’t have a wrong encounter.
