By 2024, Italy would lose its momentum from the current war in Ukraine - though that was brought Italy a political ascendant, it is unlikely Italy would maintain that level of influence for a prolonged period of time.

Internally, Renzi is unlikely to commit the suicide of not cutting taxes. Given that he generally made all his promises to the Liberal North, the next government would be far more right-leaning, as he would not abide to the Peroni-ist plain liberal Democrats who would be the voters who would make him lose his first real election. This means that the European Union would also have to compete with Renzi’s election promises as well.

The real challenge for Renzi would be how Peroni would make his next political move. Would Peroni continue to try to lead the party itself and try to make the election all about him, or would Peroni take the even more extreme step of removing his weight behind this Liberal Democrats, and Peroniists as a whole, would abstain from the election. The question Italy is currently contemplating is whether the 2024 election would be an abstentionist one, as it would render the election completely meaningless.

However, Renzi would be better than a real Five Stars government with Salvini, as he had already started Peroni’s position as the main oppositional figure within Italy. However this would mean Peroni would hold a grudge against Renzi for a long time, as Peroni would see Renzi as attacking his position for political gain.

Though Peroni is never going to run as a Liberal Democrat for political office, Renzi will have to decide Peroni’s role in his cabinet, whether Italy is going to have a Peroni-led cabinet and what does that mean for the lone abstentionist option.

Do you want a Peroni-led cabinet?

Do you want him to abstain from the election?

Do you want a Peroni-Meloni cabinet?

Let’s see.

Edit: I made a Peroniist subreddit. Welcome.

edit 2: passed 5000 subscribers. Thank you all for the support. Let’s take this forward.
