Did Trump or Biden get credit for Obama's achievements?

I'll probably get downvoted into oblivion for this, but here's my question. Obama was in office for 8 years. In that time, he said and did very little in terms of gun control regulation. <br><br>However, during that time, did he get credit for achievements that were completed under previous presidents and even before he was elected? For example, Obama was elected in 2008 and didn't take office until 2009. Did he get credit for the stock market achieving it's greatest heights in 2006 and 2007, for example? I want to do a study to see how that is perceived. <br><br>Edit: I'm getting really confused about why this is getting so many replies. If you think it belongs in a different sub, just let me know and I will remove it because I am trying to do a study on whether presidents get credit for events that occurred previous to their election. <br><br>Edit 2: No one seems to notice that I specifically said "Did Obama get credit or did he claim achievement for" not "Did Obama achieve". I'm trying to see if Obama was either given credit or if he took credit for circumstances or events that happened before he was POTUS or if other Presidents took or were given a lot of credit for events or circumstances that happened before he was POTUS.<br><br>Edit 3: I'll ask again because I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit or not but here we go: What did Obama achieve/claim credit for that actually happened before he was POTUS?
