What if Earth had no axial tilt?

Some worlds like Uranus have an extreme tilt compared to Earth’s 23.5 degrees. But what if Earth tilted zero, dead on its side or had no tilt at all?

I imagine a world like this would have no climate change, no seasonal changes, and a very static ecosystem. The tropics would always be hot, the poles would always be frozen, and the temperate zones would be static as well.

Regional microclimates would be far more exaggerated by terrain yo create distinct ecosystems in each valley or canyon, versus large climate zones taking up much of the land. Mid latitude would have more rain and more agricultural potential. Canada and Russia would be cacti and sand dunes, while the middle East and Central Asia would be Sahara-like.

Larger species would be more difficult, bigger animals would have harder migratory journeys. But then again they would have consistent ecosystems to migrate to. Climate migrators would be more likely, but then again animals would need to adapt to a distinct ecosystem, like a grassland to a forest. Migrators would have to travel more inland/outland, East/West, instead of valid North/south. Elephants have a harder time migrating from tropics in Africa to the habitat of the rhino.

I think humans would be much less effective as hunter/gatherers in this world, since they couldn’t follow their food. Also we might have developed in a much different way, larger settlements and less nomadism. It’s hard to say it would progress faster, but it would definitely help in terms of food security for humans. Plus the climate is consistent.

But I don’t think it would allow humans to get to the moon with a static ecosystem. I think there would be far less conflict, and we would be satisfied staying in larger settlements and growing population. So I’m not sure we would develop the same way. But then again without climate stress, we could adapt better to environments.

This is all from my fever dreams, what do you think it would be like?
