My (28) boyfriend (33) has decided he wants to be a father in the next 9 months. I do not. What next?

Throwaway / tldr at bottom<br><br>My boyfriend and i have been together over a year and things are good. We have discussed kids and both want them. I want them in 5+ years. He wants them in 2-3.<br><br>Over the weekend he decided he wanted them much sooner and now wants to have kids in under 9 months. He was very serious and asked me to try with him and if i wasn’t on the same page as him to let me know so he can think about moving on.<br><br>As the the mother, obviously the choice is weighted to me, but I’m not ready. And will be putting my life on hold to have kids so soon. He was understanding but definitely said he wanted kids now and that it was no longer a discussion.<br><br>So now i’m not sure what to do. I could try and we could be expecting within weeks and i just am not ready to do that. What’s my next move?<br><br>TLDR; My boyfriend has decided he wanted kids in under 9 months.
