The real reason I think people are seeing entities.

It's not because they are seeing the entities themselves but because their brain is using the entity to explain what they're seeing. <br><br>When people talk about seeing things like shadow people, mimes, black figure with glowing eyes etc, the brain will use this entity to explain why they're seeing it but the real reason is that their brain is perceiving something it can't understand and using the entity as an explanation. <br><br>We see things in the night that can't explain so our brain tells us it's a werewolf. We hear noises in the dark so our brain tells us it's a ghost.<br><br>When we perceive something that can't be explained, our brain will use what ever entity we already know to explain what we're seeing but it's not actually seeing the entity, it's just explaining what's happening. <br><br>So people aren't actually seeing shadow people but they're explaining what they're seeing to themselves by saying that they're shadow people.<br><br>This is just my personal theory and it makes sense to me but I'm not the first to have this idea so someone else might have already came up with this idea.
