I stole a little box of rum from a duty free shop

It was a 1l bottle in a cardboard box, I think it was a little under ??50. This was in the late 90’ies, I was 14 and had never in my life stolen anything before except for a little bag of chips from a school cafeteria, I returned that same day because I felt so bad.<br><br>I was on vacation with my family, and had been shopping for some sweets and other stuff for family with my older cousin. I was on my way to the duty free shop to find a carton of cigarettes for my mother in law, her brand was duty free. I saw one of those boxes of rum. As a 14 year old I was not alcohol tolerant and didn’t really like drinking, but somehow I didn’t like the price tag ??50 was quite a lot for a 14 year old back then, and I didn’t want to spend so much of my money. Different stores could have different prices, but I didn’t have time to check. So, I took the box and shoved it under my sweater, and walked around other stores for a while, and finally went through the passport check without any problems.<br><br>We took a taxi home from the airport, and I didn’t feel safe having it in the handbag, so I put the box in my underwear, right next to my buttcheeks, in case it would break I didn’t want it near my front. It didn’t break, and I didn’t get caught. My mother in law didn’t like the taste, so I had to finish the bottle. It was disgusting, but I managed to finish it in about a month. It probably took another 5 years for me to drink without feeling sick.
