Israel’s Justice Ministry sues Meta, blaming it for the worst wave of terror attacks in recent memory

Israel has filed a lawsuit against Meta, alleging that the company's algorithms assisted terrorists in organizing and carrying out the most recent wave of atrocities.<br><br>A lawsuit was submitted by the Justice Ministry as part of the suit, saying that the defendant "failed to utilize reasonable and appropriate measures to monitor and remove from its platform inciting messages." Therefore, the Ministery is seeking payment of 3.8 million shekels (about $107,000) from the company.<br><br>On October 7, 2023, Israel experienced a wave of terrorist attacks known as the "Holocaust of the South." It all started with a car bombing, which killed at least 1400 people, injured 3400, and kidnapped at least 200 more. The event killed a large number of civilians and drove hundreds of thousands of Israelis to flee.
