What's wrong with my boy? He's 12 now, and he doesn't care about guns?

I have a 12 year old son and he has never been excited about guns, guns are by far my favorite topic. He's always been into throwing heavy things, like shot put and discus, and I know why, but why does he not care about guns? He's never been sad or upset after seeing me shoot, he seems oblivious to shooting, even when you center a piece of fruit he doesn't get excited. I want him to be like me, I was into guns at his age, what could be wrong with him? I have always tried to involve him. Am I overthinking it? He doesn't like video games, all he cares about is throwing these track objects. I don't know how to handle it, I am worried.
