Do you guys believe in the simulation theory, or is it just a fun internet trend?

I have been seeing a lot of talk about the simulation theory, where some claim that we live in a virtual reality simulation created by an advanced civilisation. I personally don’t know what to believe, so I would like to know other’s opinions about it.<br><br>My main problem with it is that, even if we do live in a simulation, we are not able to do anything about it. So, why bother believing in something that has no outcome to it?
