If we are living in a simulation, would they ever allow us to figure it out?

It seems like they would have to allow us to realize that we are in a simulated reality. If we ever did figure it out, how would they get us back? If they can just pause the simulation, would we have to be "saved" by some kind of simulation rescuer? <br><br>Just thinking about this stuff makes me feel like I'm crazy.
