The Simulation Theory

I was recently having a conversation with a friend about the simulation theory. The idea is that the reality that we see is actually a simulation created by a more advanced entity. <br><br>We were discussing how you would prove that this is true. So we came up with the idea that you could send an open letter to the simulator saying "Hey this isn't what you told us, what the heck is going on here?" And then the simulator has to respond with the truth. <br><br>The problem here is that even if this was sent it would never get to the simulator, as it would be filtered by something else before hand, it could be filtered out by another entity.<br><br>If you could prove the existence of the simulator, how would you prove it?
