My friend who has schizophrenia told me something so bizarre and creepy about what he heard while on his meds

My friend who has schizophrenia has a history of hearing strange things, mostly his own internal thoughts out loud but sometimes other people and things talking to him. He had a pretty rough time with schizophrenia when he wasn’t on his meds. He would often hallucinate, would be super paranoid, and would hear things that scared him.<br><br>For the past couple of years he has been doing pretty good with his schizophrenia. His symptoms are almost non-existent, and he has been able to control his hallucinations pretty well. He’s been taking his meds consistently and hasn’t had any major episodes in a while.<br><br>Recently, he was talking to his therapist about his hallucinations in the past. He told his therapist that he heard a bunch of people talking to each other in a hushed tone. He said they were talking about him and that it sounded like they were talking about him in a negative way. He said he couldn’t make out what they were saying but that they sounded like they were arguing about him.<br><br>My friend said it was unsettling to hear them talking like that and that it made him feel like they were talking about him in a bad way. His therapist said that he probably wasn’t hearing anything at all and that it was probably just his mind playing tricks on him.
