My boyfriend has a "glitch"

I (29f) have been in a relationship with my boyfriend (28m) for about a year. I posted here a while ago about something he does that drives me crazy, and got a lot of really positive and helpful comments and messages. I've been meaning to follow up with an update since then but haven't had the chance. I also thought maybe I should post this here since it's a related topic. He recently started doing it again and it's driving me nuts, so I figured I'd get some outside opinions. <br><br>The "glitch" is this: he'll be talking to me normally, and then he'll say or do something that is completely out of character for him. It's almost like a switch flips and he goes from being normal and conversational to being extremely robotic and strange.<br><br>It can be anything from him saying something really out of character for him to something completely random, like "Oh, I love this color! I think it's one of my favorites." When this happens, I will be sitting at my desk in my living room, and he'll be across the room and say this out of nowhere. Or he'll be in the kitchen and then all of a sudden he says something that he absolutely wouldn't say. Or he'll say something out of nowhere, like "Do you like my hair today?" He'll ask me something completely out of the blue and I'll be like, "Uh, what was that?" And then he'll repeat what he said like we were in the middle of a conversation and he just forgot to mention it.<br><br>Or he'll start talking about something really random, like the time he went to the dentist. Or something that happened when he was in high school. Or a dream he had. And he'll just talk about it in the same normal voice as before, as if nothing had happened.<br><br>Or he'll be talking about something totally normal and then just drop it in a random comment. Like he'll say something like "Oh, my favorite thing about the weather is the way the clouds look in the sky" and then drop a comment that has nothing to do with anything he's been talking about. <br><br>Or he will just randomly interrupt himself mid sentence and start talking about something completely different. Like he'll be talking about what he did at work today, and then just stop and say "Did you know that the ancient Egyptians were really into perfume?" And then continue talking about that. Or he'll be talking about a movie or TV show he likes, and then just start talking about something he had for lunch.<br><br>And sometimes he'll say something that sounds like he's quoting something from a movie. It sounds like he's reading from a script. Like he'll say something that sounds like it's from a movie or a TV show, like "I'm afraid I have some bad news to share with you." Or "I have something to ask you. It may be important. Will you be sitting down?" Or something like "I'm not sure I can do this anymore. I think I need to take a break and reassess my priorities."<br><br>And sometimes he'll just say something out of nowhere. Like "The sky is blue" or "The grass is green" or something like that. <br><br>And sometimes he will just stop talking altogether and stare at me for a few seconds. He'll just be silent and then he'll look at me and say "Everything's fine. Yeah, I'm doing great." Sometimes he'll say that multiple times. It's really bizarre.<br><br>It's almost like he's possessed or something. He's always been a really normal guy, and this is just really strange. I feel like something is very wrong, but I have no idea what it is.
