Every time I hear someone say "If I earned a billion dollars tommorow at the slot machine I would donate most of it to charity and go live in the concentration camps out of solidarity of the Uyghurs" I think "I've been in a contrencration camp most my life and I'm not happy with it."

Better stated for more clarity: when I hear rich people saying "look I'm so good, I am so holy, I put myself and my interests above yours because we're equal" I think "I don't have the privilege of being a billionaire so I can put myself and my interests above yours."

It's so counterfeit and so fake.

Nobody has ever gone to the slums and said "I'm going to live amongst you because I stand in solidarity with you, I'm so proletariat now and so Marxist. Look at me, I'm the epitome of equality, I rose to the pinnacle of power and wealth yet I continue to live in the slums, with no heat, in freezing conditions, without access to a clean toilet.

Marco's with all the gold and treasure, now lives permanently in the slums and knows firsthand the conditions of the peasant. Meanwhile, am I a saint or a beggar?

Now, we are all heroes donating to the homeless. There's a good hearted person who donated 175,000 dollars to the Chetco Homeless organization. Wow! that is so generous and so kind and so holy. How many dollars did he have when he donated the 175k to the homeless? 825,000.

Better stated, he had 1M dollars, and only donated 175,000 dollars to the homeless from 1,000,000. So that simply means he donated 17.5% to the homeless and kept 825,000 for himself and his family. Who looks better, the person who stayed in the billionaires house and donated 825,000 to the homeless but kept 175,000? Or the person who donated 175,000 and kept 825,000 for himself.

Better stated, who looks better, the person who looks better in your eyes? Or simply stated, who is the actor and who is the beggar?
