When I was 12 I got a kid to eat a piece of sugar covered cardboard.

When I was 12 we recently moved and our new neighbors were pretty nice. Now I did have a bad habit of lying to try and impress people and get people to think I can do stuff that I cannot. So one thing that I claimed at the time was that my dad was in the ~military~ (they really moisturized) except it was the military on a planet in a different dimension and they were currently having a war against an alien empire. Now it sounds crazy but it took place in our old house, not the new house we just moved into. It was the most elaborate lie I have ever told and I needed an entire google maps edit of our old neighborhood to keep track of it. There was an entire lore behind it all, but the only thing relevant now is when I said that my dad had bought me a few of these wafers from an alien planet.

I said that they were sweet and tasted like brown sugar, but warned that ~they~ were to not be eaten because they were poisonous to humans. He kept pushing me to give him one and after constantly saying no I finally gave in and gave him one of these wafers and told him not to eat it. He didn't even make it into his house before he ate it and then I got a call (I was kidding about this part but actually ended up happening) not long after from his mother saying that he ate something he found in my room, which of course he did because I wasn't in my old room, but in my new room in our new house.

This was probably the peak lie of my entire life, and no one ever found out about it but I can't stop laughing about it to this day.
