We keep hearing about AI hallucinations, people claiming they have had alien encounters or paranormal encounters that are obviously fake. The most common is AI hallucinations where people say “oh AI hallucinations are so real”. But when I tell them I have had alien encounters they don’t believe me. It’s like they are just waiting for people to prove that everything is fake, but I think most people are not actually trying to prove anything, it’s just the people in the community that are too quick to judge others.

What bugs me is how quick people are to dismiss everything but how they don’t apply that same logic to their own experiences. I have had many paranormal experiences, including alien encounters and I don’t doubt the existence of anything. I don’t say “oh this is fake because that is fake” I just say “oh this is fake because that is fake and this is fake and so on” and that’s it.

I don’t think the goal is to prove anything. The goal is to understand ourselves and the world around us, and if we find out that everything is fake or that everything is real then so what? So what? What does it change? Not much, so we should just accept that we don’t know everything and just keep moving forward.
