This happened about 2 weeks ago. I was driving home from work after a long day, the sun was setting, and the roads were a bit deserted. I was in a new town and was getting directions from a Garmin. I had to make a right on Main St. as I was coming into town. I came down the main street, and on the left hand side of the street I saw a tall thin man with dark hair and blue jeans walking down the street. He looked at me and smiled, and I looked back at him and smiled back. I immediately locked eyes with him, and it was like looking at my Dad. I could not believe it, and I started shaking. The man was walking at a pace that was pretty fast, so I pulled up to the stop sign at the light and looked at him again. I got a closer look at his face and he was still identical to my Dad. He was maybe 50 years old, but looked younger than he actually was because he had a very fit body and shaved head. I was almost crying because I had not seen my Dad in over 2 years, and he had been in the hospital and on a ventilator for 2 months before he died, and he died right after I visited him. I have not seen him for almost 4 years now. It was like I had been transported back in time. I almost pulled over and asked him if he wanted a ride. I got to the stop light and looked at him again. He was still walking, but he was now on the other side of the street. I got to the next light and looked at him again. He was still walking, but I could not see his face anymore because he was behind a truck now. I had to pull over to the side of the road to stop myself from crying. I cried for a good 10 minutes, and I still cry now just thinking about it. I wish I had gotten out of my car and gone after him. I really wanted to see him up close. I just hope it was my Dad.
