Hello Reddit. Throwaway here. My husband and I have been together for 20 years and married for 15. We are each other's soulmates. We used to do everything together. We were always inseparable. We have two beautiful children and we have everything we ever wanted in life.

Earlier this year, he told me out of the blue he doesn't find me attractive anymore. He says I let myself go after having kids. That I've put on 20 pounds, I don't have the body I had when we first met. He says he's no longer sexually attracted to me and he apologized and said he can't help how he feels. He said it's not anything I did, it's just nature.

He also says he's not in love with me anymore. He loves me but not the way he used to when we were younger and first dating. He says it's normal. I don't know what to do. He said he wants to stay in the marriage and he still is in love with me but just not the way he used to be. I don't know if this means he wants open marriage or what. I'm just so confused and hurt. He told me he's marching forward with our lives but I don't know what to do when he's fallen out of love with me. We used to have a perfect marriage.

Has anyone ever gotten their spouse to fall back in love with them?

Edit: he has never complained about my weight and has always said I looked beautiful. That's why this is so shocking. Also yes I have put on a little weight during the quarantine. All this sitting around inside with no gym to go to, doesn't help. But he hasn't when we met he was 185 and now he is 230. So I don't get how my 20 pound weight gain is the problem.
