CMV: It's insane that someone can be homeless in a society that has unsold houses at full scale.

If someone has no place to live and no means to pay for housing, I think it makes sense that the government should offer a place to live, but not necessarily assist with other expenses such as food. The government can require the homeless person to work in the form of a job and pay taxes but a small percentage of their income from said job can go to the government to purchase the house they live in.

If this seems too extreme to some people, then the government can just rent out homes, and rent out homes at a small price. It's not like the government is losing money from empty houses that they own that they have already taxed people to pay for.

It's insane that people starve in a society where food is thrown out, but I believe that if someone worked for food, they would be more likely to finish it. This logic can be applied to houses.
