This happened back in April of last year. I'm not the type to post much in this subreddit I just lurk every now and then and I usually don't have any bad experience with people so the encounter that I'm about to explain shocked me to my core I just did not expect this and the after math was horrible.

It was a Saturday morning and I was in the kitchen making breakfast I was alone that day since my mom had left to run some errands in town with her sister I had just turned 16 a month prior to that day I live in a small town out in the middle of no where so I'm used to police knocking on the door and asking if I had seen anything since clearly I wasn't working yet lol.

I was standing with my back to the fridge when someone knocked on the door I didn't suspect a thing at all I felt completely safe and wasn't scared at all I walked up to the door I looked through the peephole and there was an older man standing there wearing what seemed to be a FBI uniform blue suit with an FBI badge clipped to his shirt he was wearing sunglasses and holding an earpiece in his ear.

I don't know I can't explain it but something about him seemed off there was a red flag in there but I ignored it.

My town is small enough that I recognize most of our police officers in our town because there aren't that many so for some reason I felt like I didn't recognize the guy and that's when that little voice in the back of my head started screaming at me telling me something was wrong something was clearly off about him but I ignored it and opened the door.

He began to talk to me and tell me his name I don't remember, and told me he was with the fbi and needed to come in. I don't know again I was naive and didn't hesitate to let him in I let him in and shut the door I remember him being very calm and collective and I was just so confused I didn't know what the hell was happening. I told him I was confused and asked what this was about he explained to me that there was a place in town that was on surveillance and that my mom and I were two of the people on that list he didn't go into much detail about who else was being watched and he didn't really say how long we had been watched because at that time I started to just break down and cry I didn't know what the hell was going on or what to do I felt like I was in some kind of movie.

He then told me he needed me to enter a code on my laptop he told me it was for them to be able to get into my moms laptop I was like what... are you kidding me.

He told me he had a warrant for my moms arrest and it was for identity theft and my name was on it too he started pulling out a bunch of papers and that's when I finally realized he wasn't real there was no way in hell he was a real FBI agent.
He had no ID he didn't even ask for permission to come in he just started walking in and he was about to walk into my moms room when I had finally snapped out of the stupidity that I was in and told him to get the hell out of my house or I would call the police he didn't move he told me he was going to cuff me if I didn't let him do his job and that's it I panicked I began to cry even more I pulled out my phone, turned my back to him and called 911 I was shaking like crazy and crying I was terrified I hung up the phone and grabbed my baseball bat that was sitting in the corner of the living room I walked up to him and told him to leave I was shaking holding the bat and every time I looked at him he didn't move a muscle and then I just snapped I swung the bat at him and it barely hit him but that was enough for him to get scared and run out of the house I slammed the door I deadbolted it and locked it I went and sat on the couch and just cried I was shaking so bad and I didn't even know what to do I was all alone I called 911 again and this time I waited on the line until help arrived police arrived they had cars surrounding my block and they did a search for him but he was no where to be found since I didn't get a good look at his face and didn't see what car he drove they weren't able to find him.

It's been about 9 months and they still haven't found him and I don't think they ever will and that kind of scares me.
