AITA for taking back my purse from my MIL?

I’m a 27 F and my husband is 30 M. I just got married about 6 months ago to my husband and my MIL is being overbearing. She doesn’t call me by my name she calls me wife. She also calls me renovated, because she says I’m an upgrade from her ex daughter in law. <br><br>I went to visit for a day and she was trying on my clothes. It was very strange. <br><br>Anyway,I my husband and I were watching a movie and she came and asked me for my Louis Vuitton bag. It was my first real designer handbag and my dad bought it for me for graduating college. I take it to special occasions. I told her no because it’s too special to me. <br><br>She told me it’s not like I can fit in it so I don’t need it anymore. I used to be a size 0-2 but I’ve gained weight and now I’m a size 6-8. She renovated her kitchen and uses it daily. I can’t stand her. <br><br>I told her the answer is no and she is not a size 6-8 so it wouldn’t fit her either. She got upset and left the room. <br><br>When I was leaving to go home I had to search for my bag for about 10 minutes until I found it in the garage. She was storing it there?! I asked her husband why it was in the garage and he told me she moved it there because she thought I left it. <br><br>My husband and I left and when we got home I told him what happened. He said she was just trying to get a reaction from me and next time just say yes and then when we leave take it back because she doesn’t know how to be sweet. He lives in a different city now and he only visits occasionally. <br><br>AITA??
