My (25F) fell asleep on a date and I’m mortified.

I’m a nightshift (nurse). Recently I’ve been feeling extremely burnt out and I usually don’t make time for myself. This has caused me to feel extremely exhausted (even if I do get 8+ hours of sleep). I made up for this lack of sleep with naps. <br><br>One night while I was on Tinder I matched with a guy (26M, let’s call him P) who I had already met in person. (I worked with him for a couple of weeks on one of our med/surg units). He messaged me and we had a good conversation and then he asked me to hangout.<br><br>I completely forgot to tell him that I’m a nightshift worker. (Mistake number one).<br><br>He asked me to go to TopGolf the next day with him. I thought it was going to be a day date and I made it just in time. He was dressed in athletic wear and I (Mistake #2) showed up in a freaking dress and heels. I immediately knew what we were going to do, (he was going to hit me with golf balls). I laughed it off and we had a good time.<br><br>That night we hung out at my place. I was extremely excited to see him and I immediately started talking to him and couldn’t shut up. (Mistake #3). I was just really excited to see him. He sat on the couch and I was giving him a tour of my house and showing him my favorite TV show theme blankets I had made (This was the first time he has been in my house). He was diverting his attention back to the TV and I thought he wanted to watch a movie. So I put one on and we sat on the couch and started watching it.<br><br>After five minutes (Mistake #4) I dozed off right next to him. He tried to wake me up and I made a bunch of excuses on why I was tired. The excuses were true. (My dad was diagnosed with cancer and he’s currently having chemotherapy. I’m in school full-time, work full-time, and watch my 3 kids full-time. Oh and I had been driving my dad to chemo and picking him up from chemo every day for two weeks straight (he’s been having chemo 5 days a week).<br><br>He stayed at my house for 30 minutes, fell asleep while sitting upright, and then made up an excuse to leave. He said he had to go to work the next day (He works as an LPN on an oncology unit and he starts his shifts at 7 am.) I gave him a hug and a quick kiss on the cheek and he said “ok” and that he would text me the next night. As he was walking out he said “such a shame right when (thing) was getting good”. He hasn’t texted me since.<br><br>He works nights tonight. Tomorrow is his day off.
