A "ghost" that was right in front of me

A couple days ago I was driving down a road, and I see a figure up ahead of me walking in the road, no car in front of them, nothing. It was about 40 feet away from me and as soon as I looked I could see it was a ghostly figure. I'm thinking to myself, "wow, a ghost is walking in the road and not getting hit by any cars." I looked back up to the road, and it was no longer there. I was wondering to myself if I really saw it, but I know I did. <br><br>A little ways down the road there is a park, and as I turn into the park I can see the road I was on, and about a quarter mile down the road I can see the exact same figure walking on the road. I immediately stop my car and watch, and I can see it getting closer and closer. About 20 seconds later it is gone again, and the road is back to normal. I drove up to where it was and looked in my rear view mirror and there is nothing there, no one had even passed by.
