How to get to another country?

Let's say we all live in the same country and outside of Canada there is nothing left. We're in Canada, USA, Canada is the last country standing. How would we get there? We don't have an army, we don't have a navy either. We don't even have a ship that can reach Canada. I can't imagine boats going to Canada with 40 million people on them. <br><br><br>This question is not only a hypothetical one, it is a practical question and I would be grateful if you answered it with a clear answer, please.
