South Korea orders Netflix to pay network usage fees

South Korea's telecommunications regulator says it will oblige Netflix Inc. to pay fees to cover network usage costs on the Korean market.<br><br>The Korea Communications Commissions (KCC) imposed less than 10 billion won ($6.4 million USD) in regulatory fines on Netflix Inc. for not paying for network usage costs here.<br><br>The commission in July designated Netflix services that require fees for network usage costs.<br><br>The KCC said it plans to oblige Netflix to pay the country's internet service providers (ISPs) for network usage costs. <br><br>In other news: The law is less than useless.
