So you know how I keep talking about homelessness all the time? Do you think I ever do anything about it? I mean, you know, do you think I would ever actually take action on the things I speak about? Well, let me tell you a story to put your mind to rest.

Years ago, I had this friend from Cali. Nice guy, he had spent time on to road, living in a tent then getting a job at Whole Foods. Then he got a house again and then the owner(Family friend) needed his own house, so my friend felt "homeless" again. Since he was a nice guy he saved enough for a house after working 6 years at Whole Foods and helping a friend out 9 to 5.

He ended up giving a key to a friend and the friend had his cousin break in and steal his PS5 and Fender Jazz Bass. He called me and said, "Hey man, I am becoming a homeless person again". And I said, "Oh, you crazy Cali boy, I did not know anyone could control homelessness like that." Pullin' a"wild card homelessness card".

He said he needed help moving some furniture and stuff. I asked him his priorities, and he said he would pack up his luggage, and he said he already had a new spot to live. Upon moving there with him, we had some trouble and I missed work. He said he would pick up the missed day's wages, which he did. And FYI, there was no one else around to help him, and he was in a new state. So I was happy to help him out.

Years later, he was doing great. Cool job, happy with life. He was saying something about if he didn't get this job he was going to show his ass up to Walmart. He then asked if walmerts hiring and I jokingly said, "Oh, I am sure they need more homeless people working there". And he said, "Oh I am not homeless", and we both laughed.

I still talk to this guy all the time. He's still cool. I am glad he is doing well and it feels great that I was there to help him when he really needed a friend.
