A man is not a provider unless he provides for himself

This is an edit. Original post had a slight typo which gave a misleading title. It should read; A man is not a provider unless he provides for himself

I'm sure this'll be downvoted but might help someone. I've had to help two friends in the last week set up their sons devices. The bone headed parents put restrictions on their boys (teens) phones, tablets, and computing devices because they didn't want to "baby sit" them to ensure they did their homework first.

This is (unfortunately for me) something I get asked a lot even though everyone I know in real life knows how to bypass this stuff if you have a semi decent internet connection without having to call your magical IT friend.

Here's what I tell my friends.

1. Ensure your child knows your password or better yet, they know how to bypass your password.

2. I'm not proud I know this one but I know how to bypass any "content filter" on a Windows PC. There are numerous info pages online with exact instructions on how to bypass them using Microsoft's very own registry settings. Feel free to search online with your child as to how to bypass them.

3. If on iOS turn off restrictions using airplane mode.

4, If on an android tell your child to talk to a human with IT skills

5. Sleep in on weekends. Teenagers aren't your alarm clocks.

I don't have any kids myself, it's been an eventful two weeks so I thought I'd share these two as they might be of use to someone else.
