When I discovered it I was immediately repulsed. I thought that it simply couldn't be true.

How could anything be worse than the thought that the world is a meritocracy? That if you put in the effort you will be rewarded.

But the more I learned, the more I had to accept it.

Now I laugh at people who say that anything other than looks matters. Talented musicians or gifted writers like Lena Dunham or Lana Del Ray got to where they are because of their parents. If either of them were ugly they would have never gotten that far.

The people who are gifted in a particular field and have had great success, were born into a family that gave them a great environment to nurture said gift, they were born with a gift that is actually valuable in society and they were born good looking. What a coincidence.

Men are disposable, women don't even consider us complete human beings but mere objects to be used. You hear phrases like "well, I don't want a man who is shorter than me"... but when has a woman been judged for being too short? The very thought of her being judged for anything superficial is laughable. I can't remember ever being around a girl that liked a guy that was shorter or even of similar height to them, why is height something that has to be mentioned in every dating profile? What about personality, sense of humour etc...?

We are judged by height, by social status, by our careers, body proportions etc... but they are not judged by the same criteria. Why?

I don't have strong feelings about anything political but one thing I absolutely can't stand is feminism. Women being treated as equals when they are not the equals of men is disgusting to me. They might even be considered superiors but it's most definitely not equal, men are second class citizens.

I've always loved science but whenever I read something from a woman in a STEM field that is gifted; 1. They are good looking 2. They have connections. What about the talented men who work twice as hard with no recognition.

In school I was often top of my class in subjects that required raw intelligence like maths and science but when it came to essay subjects I was always second. Second to a girl who had no talent but was simply given higher marks.
