CMV: It is morally wrong to have kids in a climate crisis that will halve the human population.

I have been a passionate environmentalist, vegetarian, anti consumerist etc. for my whole life. at the age of 24 I am halting the process of starting a family. I do not want a child in a world like this. Some people want kids because they cannot save the world, I do not want kids because it's too late to save human civilization.<br><br>I realize that because of the movement of some countries to renewable energy our country might survive but I do not want a kid in a world where 50 people die in a heatwave. I do not want a kid in a world where it's unaffordable to have a family. I do not want a kid that will grow up to live in a barren wasteland. I do not want to see my family struggle, I do not want my child to be born into a world of never-ending war over resources. <br><br>I never thought I would be here. It is fucking hard to be here. But I cannot do it.
