In this world, every person can see the future, and every person can communicate with their future self. <br><br>Every night, before sleep, everyone can see the date they are going to die, as well as the date they were born, and the dates of every important event in their life. They also communicate with their future self, and can ask questions. <br><br>This is not a precognitive vision, like what you would see in a movie. There is no random flashes of insight into the future, or random flashes of the past. Everyone can see and communicate with their past and future self as clearly and directly as they can see and speak with their present self. <br><br>I am not saying that everyone can see what their future spouse is going to look like, or who their children are going to be, or whether or not they will ever become wealthy. What I am saying, is that every person can see every event that has occurred in their past, and every event that will occur in their future, and can communicate directly with their past and future selves.<br><br>This ability is innate. Everyone is born with it. It never changes. It is always clear and direct. <br><br>No one knows why this is the case. Everyone just does. <br><br>So how does this shape society? <br><br>Well, crime is non-existent. If someone is going to rob or murder someone, then they can see the date of their own death as a direct result, and they can see their own death being carried out. They will be either murdered by the person they are attempting to rob/murder, or they will be caught and sentenced to death, and murdered by the law. <br><br>War is non-existent. They can talk to the people they would have met at a family reunion, had such a thing existed. <br><br>Because they can see their ancestors, they believe they are carrying on traditions and legacies that have existed for thousands of years. They are proud of their heritage, and they have a strong sense of community. <br><br>Because they can communicate with their ancestors, they can ask for advice. If a person is unsure of what career to choose, they can ask one of their ancestors for advice. They will be given advice that is tailored to their own personality and abilities. They can ask for advice on how to raise their children. They can ask for advice on what school to attend, what degree to get, what house to buy, etc. <br><br>The people of this country are all very wealthy. Everyone is well educated. Everyone is healthy. Everyone is happy. <br><br>There are no accidents, because everyone can see the cause and effect of every event. If a person is going to get into a car accident, then they can see the date of their own death, and they can see their own death being carried out.
