I'm looking for ideas on how to approach worldbuilding for a sci-fi story where aliens arrive on Earth and everyone can go up to their ships to walk around, meet the aliens, take pictures, get food samples, etc. I'm interested in exploring how the world would change in response to this event, how different nations and groups would respond, and what the consequences might be for humanity.

Some of the things that come to mind are:

* How would the US, China, India, and other major world powers react to this event? Would there be a sense of global unity, or would old rivalries and power dynamics lead to conflicts? How might different nations use their relationships with the aliens to advance their interests?

* How would different countries deal with the influx of alien tourists, scientists, traders, etc.? Would they set up special zones for alien visitors, or would humans be allowed into alien areas? Would there be restrictions on what kinds of interactions were allowed?

* What would happen to the global economy in response to the aliens' presence? Would alien goods and services flood the market, disrupting traditional industries? Or would the aliens have their own economic systems and trade networks, largely insulated from Earth's economy? Would there be a new class of alien businesses and entrepreneurs?

* How would different cultures respond to the aliens? Would they see them as guests, visitors, or even gods? Would there be changes in art, architecture, literature, and other creative fields as humans explored their relationship with the aliens? Would there be a renewed focus on science and discovery?

* How would the aliens themselves respond to human behavior? Would they appreciate the enthusiasm and curiosity, or might they be annoyed by the lack of respect or discipline? Would they try to establish rules or boundaries for human-alien interactions, or might they try to impose their own values and norms on Earth?

* What kind of technological transfer might occur between humans and aliens? Would they share advanced technologies, or keep them secret? Would there be new collaborations between humans and aliens in fields like science, medicine, and engineering?

* How would the environment and natural resources be affected by alien presence? Would the aliens have different attitudes towards Earth's natural resources, or might they exploit them as if they were limitless? Would there be changes in global climate policies or sustainability initiatives?

* How would human societies change in response to the aliens' presence? Would there be a renewed focus on cooperation and unity, or might old divisions and conflicts resurface? Would there be new forms of governance or diplomacy to manage human-alien relationships?

I'm hoping to hear your thoughts on these and other aspects of worldbuilding for this scenario.
