What are the consequences of a species that only reproduce through slavery?

I’m trying to write a story where one of the species reproduce through slavery, the other species reproduce through consent, and they both think their method is the best way.

The slave species, the N’Karians, are a highly reproductive and healthy species. They have a high fertility rate and live a very long life. They have a complex social structure but it’s not a matriarchy or patriarchy, there’s a third gender called the Zorvath. The Zorvath are the only ones who can reproduce and they reproduce through a process called “the Great Split”, where they split into two beings. There is only one Zorvath per colony so they’re very valuable. The N’Karians reproduce through consent.

The other species, the Xantheans, are a highly aggressive species. They live on a planet that’s mostly desert and they fight over water and land constantly. They don’t care about the N’Karians, they see them as nothing more than livestock. The Xantheans see the N’Karians as the best food source in the galaxy. They only reproduce through consent and they only have sex for pleasure.

The N’Karians think the Xantheans are disgusting for fighting over food and resources constantly, and they think the Xantheans should care more about their well being. The Xantheans think the N’Karians are disgusting because they reproduce through slavery.

I’m having trouble figuring out the consequences of this dynamic. I’d like the species to not be extinct but also not at peace with each other. I’d like to figure out how they think their methods are morally superior.

I have some ideas but I’d love to hear other people’s ideas on the subject.
