Worldbuilding for a high school fantasy series. (Some spoilers)

I'm working on a series of young adult fantasy novels set in a high school where magic exists. The first two books are out, the third one will come out this fall. <br><br>My setting is based off of a mix of various fantasy settings, mostly inspired by the TV show Charmed. I'm looking to make this setting even more unique and expand upon it.<br><br>Here are the key elements of my setting:<br><br>* Magic exists and is fueled by positive thoughts. It is usually practiced in secret. Magic is divided into seven disciplines: air, water, earth, fire, light, shadow, and time. <br><br>* There are magical beings who live and work in this world. They are not openly disclosed to the general public. They are usually able to control their powers. Magical beings who are born with magical traits can choose to develop powers by making a magical contract. <br><br>* Humans can choose to become magical beings. They do this by making a magical contract. Humans can become vampires, witches, or ghosts. The process of becoming a vampire is dangerous and results in death. <br><br>* Supernatural creatures exist in this world. They can be good or evil. <br><br>* A magical council rules the magical world. They enforce the magical code. <br><br>* There is an evil cult known as the Shadow Council who seek to control the world. <br><br>* There are magical schools and magical colleges.<br><br>I'm looking for suggestions on how to expand my setting. I'm looking for ideas to help me improve this setting.
