Why is your world so... white?

There are tons of stories, shows, movies, games etc set in fantasy worlds out there, and a disproportionate amount of them seem to have the same racial demographics as our modern Western world, with all the races and ethnicities that already have a strong presence in media and society.<br><br>As an Arab person, I want to see more people who look like me in media set in fantasy worlds. I want to see more diverse representation of cultures and ethnicities. But there just isn't as much of it as you would expect, given how much media there actually is.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Why is that the case, and how can we change that?
