Why do we focus on utopian societies so much?

I’ve noticed there is a lot of utopian society building out there. These are societies with no crime, everyone is happy, rich and healthy, and the world is a perfect place. Why do you think this is? Is it because we want to live in such a world, or do we just enjoy building it?<br><br>Personally, I find this type of society very boring to build, because it makes it difficult for conflict or change to exist in the world. I’ve been trying to create more realistic societies where things can go wrong, or where the inhabitants of the society can struggle, and I think this is a lot more interesting to build.
