Do you allow your species to be able to die of natural causes? Why or why not?

I'm curious if there are any world builders out there that have a species that can live forever in their world, but can die of natural causes. <br><br>For example in D&D you can die of natural causes. You may be 1000 years old but if you get hit with a random rock from the sky you could die. I feel like this is a bit uncommon in the worlds I read or watch.
