Hello! I am looking for some feedback on the legitimacy of the following opinion.

**OPINION:** I think that it is perfectly acceptable for a worldbuilder to say that their world does not exist and has no basis in reality.

**CONTEXT:** In this world, I am working on, the gods are real, and they are capable of shaping reality. I would like to have a clear answer on this: does it matter if they actually exist in this world, or can it be treated like it's the real world where they just exist? In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with the latter.

I have been asked if the gods exist, if they're the same across all dimensions, if they're just an idea, etc.

**THEORY:** If I want to work on this world, I don't have to prove if they actually exist or not. I can just say that I don't know, and just focus on developing this world. It doesn't matter if there is or isn't a god, because I want to work on this world.
