How would you handle a world where humans have a photographic memory?

A few days ago I was watching a movie on Netflix, when I suddenly realized that the plot reminded me of a book I read when I was younger. After some time, I remembered that the book was by author X, and the title was Y. This got me thinking about how cool it would be if we could remember every single detail of our lives with absolute precision, and how much this would change the world. For example, we wouldn't need to carry around documents, and police investigations would be a lot easier, as witnesses would be able to give incredibly accurate descriptions of the people and objects they saw. I can only imagine how incredible it would be to have a photographic memory, being able to recall the smallest details from our lives. I started to wonder about the consequences of having this ability, and how it would affect our society, economy and culture. Do you think that this would be an advantage or a disadvantage? Would people be able to use this ability against each other? How do you think that the police and lawyers would use this information to solve crimes?
