Do you think the world is like a novel? And vice versa?

I've always thought that a world like a novel can have a certain similarity. Both the novel and the world are full of characters, plots, and settings. Just like how the author's purpose in creating a novel is to tell a story, the creator of the world has a purpose to create it. Whether it's for personal expression or to inspire others, the creator of the world is essentially the author.
