Just got off a call with my girlfriend’s parents and she said some things I’ve done were considered rude.

1. When she picked me up, I kissed her on the cheek. Apparently this is rude in China.
2. When I ate a meal with her family, I didn’t bring any gifts, so her mother said that was rude. Apparently you always need to bring some sort of gift.
3. I said “no thank you” to certain foods I don’t eat and she said it’s rude to say no. Instead I should say yes and eat a small portion and then leave it on my plate.

What else should I be aware of?
