My husband is visiting America and I just learned the country is divided into regions instead of states

I know this sounds really stupid but my husband is visiting the USA for 3 weeks and I made a list of all the places I want him to visit. I wrote out every state he would be near on the route and he looked at me a little confused and said "Thats a lot of states." I didn't know what he meant and he told me that instead of going to all the states he could just visit all the regions. I SWEAT.<br><br>Did nobody teach me basic geography? I feel so stupid. I think I need to start planning a new itinerary where we just hit all the regions. New England? The south? Midwest? How do you travel America? Should I start with the regions or hit every state? Please help!
