I’m in Korea right now. I ordered a fried chicken set at a restaurant and when they brought it to me, there were 6 fried chicken pieces and 1 fried chicken wing. I had no idea that a “set” in Korean restaurants is just a code word for “I’m going to feed your entire table a bunch of food you didn’t order and then charge your card for it” . I was just expecting 2-3 chicken pieces and a side dish, but no, I had to feed myself and everyone at the table for dinner that night. I don’t blame them, they probably think everyone is hungry and just want to make sure everyone has enough to eat.

Anyway, we ate about 3 of the chicken pieces and took the rest back to my parents’ house and threw it in the fridge. A few days later, I went home to find all 6 pieces gone. I was shocked. I asked my mom if she had eaten it and she said no. Then I asked my dad and he said no. Then I asked my brother and he said yes. Then I asked my sister and she said yes.

Then it hit me. My family of 5 ate 6 fried chicken pieces in 3 days. I just can’t believe it. I was so proud of my brother and sister for not eating the leftover chicken. That is, until I found out they both ate some of it the day before. I guess they couldn’t resist the temptation. I just can’t believe it.
