Visiting the U.S. soon from the UK: How can I stay safe?

My wife and I are travelling to the U.S. with our three children (5, 2, 0) in a few weeks. We are very pro-American, love the country and have visited several times. <br><br>I am worried about the current situation with guns. I am terrified that someone is going to walk into a school, or day care, or mall, or restaurant and start shooting. It feels like everyday there is another mass shooting in the news. <br><br>We are planning to visit Orlando and Miami. Any advice on how to stay safe, especially with small children, would be greatly appreciated. <br><br>I am thinking about not visiting any schools or day cares, but that’s pretty limiting. Are there any “no guns” zones, like in the UK? <br><br>TIA
