My flight attendant accidentally took my laptop, and then I found him crying in the bathroom.

It’s been a tough day. I’m still trying to process everything, but I wanted to tell someone about it before I go to bed.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>I’m currently on a plane, flying from Paris to Miami. A few hours ago, I went to use the bathroom, and I realized I left my 2700€ laptop in the seat. I immediately told the gentleman next to me, and he let me know he had already alerted a flight attendant. The poor guy had to go through every single seat to look for it, and when he realized it was actually under the seat the whole time, he looked devastated.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Fast forward to 10 minutes ago, when the flight attendant knocked on my seatback while I was sleeping. “I made a mistake,” he whispered. I was confused, but he showed me my laptop. Turns out, he accidentally took it when he was looking for mine. I felt so bad for him, and I told him not to worry about it.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Then, he started crying. Like, sobbing. He said he’s been a flight attendant for over 20 years, and his boss has been threatening to fire him due to lack of hours. He’s been struggling to make ends meet, and his daughter has a surgery next week they can’t afford.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>I felt so terrible for this man. I offered to help him in any way I could, but he kept insisting he couldn’t accept anything. I told him to go home, and that things will get better. He thanked me repeatedly, but I could tell he was really struggling.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>I’m so touched by his kindness and dedication, and I hope things get better for him. If anyone is looking for an SA, he’s an amazing attendant and an even better person.
