What is your opinion on people who think socialism is a better system than capitalism?

I am a bit confused about this. <br><br>In capitalism people are free to do whatever they want. <br><br>In a socialist society, the government has the right to decide how the people are to be treated and they control all the means of production. <br><br>If I were to say, get a good job at a company that pays well, I would be free to keep the money that I earn. But if I were living in a socialist society, the government would be entitled to take a good percentage of my hard earned money. I think that's very unfair and I don't think it's right. <br><br>So why do you think some people believe that socialism is a better system than capitalism?
