The iPhone has officially become an accessory to a person, rather than a device.

With the lack of revolution in recent iPhones, and the increasing emphasis on external accessories like the rumored "hole punch" cameras and the "touch projection" on the iPhone 15 pro, I think it's safe to say that the phone has become less about what's in the box, and more about what you can put IN the box. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if in a few years we're using our phones as a kind of "smart skin" that we can customize and swap out to fit our needs.
