How much of the internet is bots?

I'm thinking about the recent post on r/cobraking where someone posted an image of the same beach from Google, with the comments arguing it was either bots, or the same user. It's a common thing on Chambers where the comments get into an argument over whether it's bots, or the same user.

I'm just wondering how common this is across the web. It's hard to imagine how often people post images that could be easily identified as bots, yet are just the same person.

The recent trend in social media is to remove any content that is bots, or that can be identified as bots, as well as the accounts that are posting them. This is a good thing, but I think the internet is still filled with bots, and I'm sure it's hard to identify all of them.

What are some ways to identify bots on the web? What are the different types of bots?

I think a good example of bots is the Chambers user "u/kingcobra3000", which has been posting images of beaches. This user has been posting images of beaches for several years, and there are dozens of different beaches, which is a lot to post on your own. The user does not seem to have a lot of activity on their posts, so it's unlikely to be the same person.

It seems like this user is definitely a bot, but I don't know how to confirm it. Is this user a bot? Is this a common thing on Chambers?
