I don't know how to word this properly but bare with me. My boyfriend has told me that he believes once we are married, we should live off of the land. Grow crops and "hunt" for food and just live off of the grid. I don't know much about farming, or hunting, but I am wondering if this is even realistic and if it is, is it a good idea?

For context, my boyfriend goes camping at least once a month, and when he does he lives completely off of the grid. He finds food by fishing or hunting, and collects his own firewood and has his own shelter. I think he did this like 3 times this month already, but I don't know how he is affording all of the extras that he brings with him. He always brings a laptop and a desktop, and he has all the extras such as cell phone signal devices and even a printer. I just do not get how he is affording all of the extra stuff that he brings with him on these trips. So maybe living off the grid isn't so far off from reality.

But, I do want to be able to eat pizza and go to the pizza place every once in a while, not just live off of corn on the cob and veggies and stuff. I want to have the ability to go out to burger king every once in a while. I just want to make sure this is something I should bring up to him or just leave it alone.
